Melanie is a Physiotherapist, graduating with a BScKin from SFU in 2012, and a Masters of Physical Therapy from UBC in 2014. She also holds certificates in Human Nutrition and Active Rehabilitation. Melanie has previously worked in areas of spinal cord injury, neurology and the OASIS (osteoarthritis) program. She now splits her time between the Mary Pack Arthritis Centre and private practice, while also lecturing at UBC as a Clinical Assistant Professor. She has completed courses and examinations in Level 3 Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, Pain Biology, BioKinetik (pilates-based) Exercise Technique, Vestibular and TMJ rehabilitation, fascial manipulation and is a Certified Chan Gunn IMS practitioner. In her free time, Melanie enjoys a myriad of activities not limited to hiking, camping, rock climbing, swimming, drinking coffee, reading a good book or taking care of her garden and house plants.
